Should you require any assistance, our Reception team is available 24 hours a day. Simply dial 001 from your in-room phone.

Emergency & Evacuation

Your safety is our highest priority. In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, please remain calm, do not use the lifts, and leave all luggage and personal belongings behind. Follow the instructions of our team and proceed to the designated assembly area.

For your safety, we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the Emergency Procedures Plan located on the back of your room door. This plan identifies your nearest emergency exit and the designated assembly area should an evacuation be required.

In the Event of an Emergency

If you are unable to leave your room, immediately contact Reception by dialling 001 from your in-room phone. Alternatively, dial 1 for an outside line, then 111 to contact Emergency Services. Fill the bathtub with water and use wet towels or sheets to seal the gap at the bottom of the door to help prevent smoke from entering the room. Remain close to the floor, where the air is generally clearer, and keep a wet cloth over your nose and mouth while awaiting assistance.

If You Are Unable to Leave Your Room

If you discover a fire, please remain calm and assess whether it is safe to leave your room. Before opening the door, feel it with the back of your hand. If the door is hot, do not open it. If it is cool, carefully check outside and, if it is safe to do so, leave your room immediately, closing all doors behind you to help contain the fire.

Activate the nearest fire alarm if it has not already been sounded, then proceed directly to the designated assembly area. Do not use the lifts. Once you have arrived at the assembly area, report to a member of our hotel team or the Fire Warden. If the fire originated in your room, please advise them as soon as possible.

If You Discover a Fire

If you hear the fire alarm or an evacuation signal, leave your room immediately and do not take any luggage or personal belongings with you. Proceed directly to the designated assembly area using the nearest safe exit, and do not use the lifts. Once you have arrived at the assembly area, report to a member of our hotel team or the Fire Warden and remain there until you are advised it is safe to return to the building.
