About the Mount Festival Of Multisport

This fantastic summer festival is not only headlined with one of New Zealand’s longest running and iconic triathlons (Tauranga Half)…it also has a selection of events that appeal to a wide range of people with varied athletic abilities. We love it because it encourages health lifestyles and having fun…and all profits made by the Mount Festival of Multisport are donated back into the community. The small profit made in 2018 was donated to Mount Maunganui Surf Life Saving.

The Mount Festival events calendar incorporates the hallmark Tauranga Half, The Enduro long distance triathlon, the Höpt Soda AquaBike, Mount Run (5km & 9km), Athlete’s expo and other fun-filled community events like the Mt Maunganui Beach Volleyball Open. The festival weekend kicks off with The Street Food Union between 4:00pm-9:00pm on Friday in Coronation Park - where you’ll find a wide selection of food trucks offering up a range of food experiences and plenty of live music beats.
